Child Pornography – Dark Game of Perpetrator

All children deserve a great childhood but exposure to any aspect of pornography pollutes their present and future goals. Child porn is not just the sex video as inlay sense, it may be thought so, it’s a broad spectrum word which by federal laws refers to any content that depicts sexually explicit activities involving child below 18 years of age, it’s one of the most violent horrific forms of “CHILD ABUSE” possible. The Internet has made most a craved pornography THE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY available AT A CLICK OF A BUTTON. One unforeseen consequence of the rise of the cyberspace has been an explosion in the trade of child sexual abuse images and videos…25 millions of images are reviewed by the national center for missing and exploited children annually. About 1 in 7 girls and 1 in 25 boys are abused sexually before they turn 18. TRAGICALLY the only place the DECREASE is seen is in “the age of child pornography victims” and this itself is shockingly traumatic and horrifying as the children are future-blossoms, filled with innocence but here these are the prime targets itself, for this bizarre crime “CHILD PORN.”

CHILD – THE INNOCENT VICTIM

Perpetrators grooming process in creating a child pornography is one of its rising aspect which is rarely talked about in open.

“Child fall prey in dirty hands of the perpetrator.” Perpetrators are one whom children are able to trust and have close access to them. They can be neighbors, friends, family members, people in schools, churches, recreation centers, youth sports leagues, and any other place children gather. 90% of children who are victims of sexual abuse are abused by known ones, only 10% are abused by strangers. The fact that is noticeable here, is MAJORITY OF CHILD WHO APPEARS IN CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ARE NOT BEEN TRAFFICKED OR PHYSICALLY FORCED TO PARTICIPATE INSTEAD THEY DO IT BY THEIR OWN CONSENT BUT AFTER UNDERGOING THE PROCESS OF GROOMING in which perpetrator seizes and overtakes the mind of the child and gradually child gives in for one’s own sexual abuse. Perpetrators are very fox minded, THEY FIRST choose a target area (child victim, child who feels unloved and unpopular- will soak up adult attention like a sponge, child with family problems who spend time alone and unsupervised, who lack confidence, self-esteem and who are isolated from their peers), THEN forms an emotional relationship by smart tactics (giving child special attention, outings, gifts, isolating child from others, filling the internet child’s unmet needs and roles within the family, treating a child as he or she is older) GRADUALLY crosses physical boundaries, shows them movies, images depicting sexual activities and then establishes physical contact to start with CHILD PORN and lastly forges this emotional bond to maintain secrecy of their relationship. Predators use the grooming process to break down a child’s defenses and increase the child’s acceptance of touch… CHILD PORNOGRAPHY MATERIALS collected after grooming the sexual process are being sold, shared, and traded on internet platforms like websites, email, instant messaging, internet relay chat, newsgroups, bulletin boards, social networking sites, peer to peer networks.

A SOCIAL WORK CASE STUDY BY MARA CHRISTIANA BADENHORST MA (MENTAL HEALTH) REPORTED A CASE. The perpetrator was a church youth leader, he also managed a Kung Fu club. He gave some child a lift to Kung Fu club. His target child was friends with his sister’s son’s or child who were his neighbors or where the child’s mother and his mother were friends. He showed movies to them on Friday evenings, offer to play games, give rides or buy treats and gifts as a token of friendship. After getting success in grooming process he started off with child pornography. Instructed child to practice naked while he took photos of them and videos, aired them on DARK WEB LINKS. Paid some of the children for being models for their naked photos, perpetrator paid money into child’s account and instructed not to tell one’s mother about the account. He also threatened victims not to disclose the secret of their relationship, he gave the child treats and compensation in forms of burgers, pizzas, outings, and gifts.

ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER JR. SPEAKS AT NATIONAL STRATEGY CONFERENCE AT CALIFORNIA IN MAY 19,2011 “100 victims of child porn were interviewed about the effects of their exploitation at the time it occurred and in later years. Victims described the physical pain, headaches, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, feelings of psychological distress, emotional isolation, anxiety and fear at the time it occurred. However most also felt a pressure to cooperate with the offender and not to disclose the offense and a sense of shame about their own behavior. In later years the victims reported that initial feelings of shame and anxiety did not fade but intensified to feelings of deep despair, worthlessness, and hopelessness. Their images can be viewed and traded by others worldwide once an image is on the internet. It is irretrievable and continues to circulate forever. The permanent record of child’s sexual abuse can alter his or her life forever.”

This article aims to guide professionals and investigators of child porn cases to understand its DETERIORATING EFFECTS ON CHILD’S HEALTH AND THE TACTICS USED BY A PERPETRATOR TO TRAP A CHILD UNDERAGED …it’s crucial to sensibly understand that there is IMMEDIATE NEED TO ADDRESS AND FIGHT THIS CRIME as CHILD PORNOGRAPHY VICTIMS undergo most prevalent health problem with the most serious consequences. A child often undergoes lasting psychological damage including disruptions in sexual development, self-image, and developing trusting relationships with others in the future.

HALTING THIS CRIME

BY LAWS – Violation of pornography laws is a serious crime and convicted offenders face fines and severe penalties. But the loophole lies in the secrecy kept by child victim. Only 38% of child victims are courageous to disclose the fact that they have been sexually abused and rest never disclose. The offenders proved GUILTY are then handled with tough hands under IT ACT 2000 and federal law section 2256 of title 18 in the US.

PARENT ROLE – They can really contribute much in this angle of child pornography. They can prevent a child falling prey to the predator’s hand by providing healthy psychological therapy in all ways. As targeted children are always those who are neglected, unloved, isolated beings of a home so by providing healthy home environment where child feels light and loved, by having honest talks with the kids so that child feels easy to share about one’s good and bad experiences and by instilling right values in the child so that they identify for oneself the right and wrong paths…these all efforts will way long prevent the child from transforming into the targets for the perpetrators and the future victim of child pornography..,
