Constitutional Law is the backbone of the legal structure of the country. The motive behind writing this book is to help out not only students but anyone who wants to understand the Constitution might get a basic understanding of its provisions.

The Constitution was a handwritten document, and not typed and printed, a total of 283 members of the constituent assembly signed the Constitution, which came into effect on 26th January 1950. It is the longest written document in the world, it took 2 Years, 11 Months, and 18 Days for the assembly to finish writing the entire Constitution.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the first Law Minister of free India, a jurist, an economist, and a social reformer, was the Chairman of the committee. He also carries the tag of “Father of Indian Constitution”. It was raining cats and dogs outside the parliament, on the day Constitution was signed, and this was considered to be a good omen by the assembly members.
